A week at the market

The first cool mornings are here, and the stand shows it — salad greens are back, the late tomatoes are stacked deep, and the winter squash started curing this week.

Thanks to everyone who preordered last Saturday; pickup was the smoothest it has been all season.

We plant our fall spinach under row cover the same week school starts, which is why it shows up just as the mornings turn crisp. This year's beds went in on time — expect bags at the stand through November.
